Sure Self Counselling & Psychotherapy maintains a professional presence on social media to share mental health resources, educational content, and insights. This policy outlines the guidelines and boundaries for interacting with Sure Self Counselling & Psychotherapy on social media to protect client privacy and maintain professional standards.

Confidentiality and Client Privacy

Client confidentiality is of utmost importance. To protect your privacy:

  • Sure Self Counselling & Psychotherapy will not follow, “like,” or publicly interact with current or former clients on social media.

  • Please refrain from sharing sensitive information through social media platforms (e.g., comments or messages), as these are not secure.

  • For all therapeutic communication, please use email or book a call via Google Meet, as this helps maintain confidentiality.

Public Interactions and Comments

Any interactions on public posts, such as likes or comments, are visible to others and may impact your privacy. To safeguard confidentiality, clients are advised to avoid commenting on or interacting with public posts.

Maintaining Therapeutic Boundaries

The therapeutic relationship is established only within the formal context of scheduled sessions, and interactions on social media do not constitute a therapeutic relationship.

Content shared on social media is for general informational and educational purposes and should not be taken as personalised mental health advice.

Educational and Informational Content

Content provided on social media is intended to raise awareness, share insights, and offer general mental health resources. This information is not a substitute for personalized therapy or professional advice, and we encourage you to consult a mental health professional for guidance specific to your situation.

Messaging and Direct Communication

Direct messaging is available on some social media platforms; however, Sure Self Counselling & Psychotherapy does not use it for therapeutic communication or client discussions.

For questions or communication related to your therapy, please reach out via email or during your planned call or session.

Client Feedback and Testimonials

Sure Self Counselling & Psychotherapy may invite clients to provide feedback or testimonials via feedback forms as part of their experience. However, to maintain ethical standards and client confidentiality, feedback shared publicly will not include any identifiable information and will only be posted with client consent.
